Go Grumpy was a late scratching at 11.45am on Veterinary advice (GAR 37).  No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to the handler of Dr. Sanscha, Ms. J. Gill regarding her late arrival to the kennels to prepare the greyhound for this event (GAR 46(2).  Stewards issued a warning to Ms. Gill.  In considering the penalty, Stewards took into account it was her first breach of this rule and the high number of greyhound's Ms. Gill handles.

Aston Lydia and Contained were quick to begin.  November Ice and Lulugen were slow to begin.  November Ice checked off Cool Joel approaching the first turn.  Demon Puzzle and Veetee Boomer collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Cool Joel and November Ice collided on the first turn checking November Ice severely checking Jades Inc which stumbled and subsequently tailed off.  Cool Joel and Veetee Boomer collided on the first turn checking Veetee Boomer.  November Ice checked off Demon Puzzle on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Miss. A O"Keefe, the trainer of the greyhound Saintly Miss.  Saintly Miss was vetted and after being re vetted following event 12,  it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Saintly Miss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Seductive Torch was quick to begin. Surprise Billy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right wrist and right pencil muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Isa Hillbilly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Lethal Blue trialled over 440m from box 6, weight 32.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.32, the greyhound won by a margin of 7.25 lengths.  Lethal Blue was Cleared.
