Ms. R. Delahunty, trainer of Bugg Hugg redeclared a new weight of 28.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Bugg Hugg last raced at 30.5kgs.

Comic Hero and Saintly Miss were quick to begin.  University Tab was slow to begin.  Arvo's Texan and Scenic Talk collided approaching the first turn.  Saintly Miss eased approaching the first turn checking Scenic Talk and Deadman Junction severely checking He's Panicken and Arvo's Texan.  Deadman Junction and Saintly Miss collided on the first turn checking Deadman Junction.  Saintly Miss, Scenic Talk and Deadman Junction collided on the home turn checking Scenic Talk which raced wide.  Comic Hero and Bugg Hugg collided on the home turn checking Comic Hero.  Comic Hero and He's Panicken collided entering the home straight checking Comic Hero.

Comic Hero was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Miss. A O"Keefe, the trainer of the greyhound Saintly Miss.  Saintly Miss was vetted and after being re vetted following event 12,  it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Saintly Miss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
