Steward's Report
Golden State, Succeed and Artemis One were quick to begin. Minter Frost, Pepita and Pirate Kingsley were slow to begin.
Artemis One was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right deltoid and monkey muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Robert Le Sueur regarding the racing manners of Artemis One on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Le Sueur, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
Pat's Star was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right hock sprains, left and right sartorius injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs. Christine Abela regarding the racing manners of Pat's Star on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mrs. Abela, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
A post-race sample was taken from Minter Frost - the winner of the event.
