I'm Back was slow to begin.

Fergocious Caitty contacted the running rail on the first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Golden State, Succeed and Artemis One were quick to begin.  Minter Frost, Pepita and Pirate Kingsley were slow to begin.

Artemis One was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right deltoid and monkey muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Robert Le Sueur regarding the racing manners of Artemis One on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Le Sueur, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Pat's Star was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right hock sprains, left and right sartorius injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs. Christine Abela regarding the racing manners of Pat's Star on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mrs. Abela, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race sample was taken from Minter Frost - the winner of the event.

Benalla Bandit was quick to begin.  Silk, Dewana Burger and Try Catch Up were slow to begin.

Silk was checked on the second turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right hock soreness. No stand down period was imposed.

Out of competition samples were taken from Deep Witts, Luca's Jebrynah, Many Ways, Orson Leigh & Trending Wanda on 22 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

Out of competition samples were taken from Long Haul, Midda's Missile and Stealth on 23 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

Stealth was quick to begin. Deep Witts was slow to begin.

Deep Witts was checked several times throughout, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Post–race blood and urine samples were taken from River Rough – the winner of the event.

Post-race samples were taken from Midda's Missile (2nd) and Stealth (3rd).

An out of competition sample was taken from Mepunga Ruby on 22 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

Mepunga Ruby was quick to begin.  Xenium Bale, Big Bertha and Play Nice were slow to begin.

Vayda Bale was quick to begin.

Supplementary Report - 8 December 2022

Stewards were made aware of a reporting error relating to this event, in which an out of competition sample taken from Golden Quest on 24 November 2022 was incorrectly omitted from the raceday Stewards Report. This has since been rectified and included in the original report above.

An out of competition sample was taken from Amron Boy on 22 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

Post-race samples were taken from Wow's She Fast (1st) and Amron Boy (2nd).

Out of competition samples were taken from Amron Boy, El Dorado, Fernando Mick, Plaintiff, Titan Blazer, Yachi Bale, Zara's Ivan and Zippy Tesla on 22 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

An out of competition sample was taken from Vice Grip on 23 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

An out of competition sample was taken from Paddy Wants Pats on 24 November 2022, pursuant to GAR 139.

Plaintiff and Fernando Mick were quick to begin.

Paddy Wants Pats was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right wrist sprain and a left hock injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Post–race blood and urine samples were taken from Yachi Bale – the winner of the event.

Post–race samples were taken from Fernando Mick (2nd), Plaintiff (3rd) and Titan Blazer (4th).

An out of competition sample was taken from Tinker Fran on 22 November 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.

Spanish Miss, Riccarton Rick, Tinker Fran and Chic were quick to begin.

Riccarton Rick faltered turning off the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track off the back straight, and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry with Trainer Mr. Adam Helleren regarding conduct behind the boxes during the running of the event. Update 29.11.2022: Stewards finalised an inquiry into Mr. Helleren's conduct behind the boxes during the running of race 11. Stewards issued a charge under GAR165(a) to Mr. Helleren for engaging in conduct that was detrimental and/or prejudicial to the image and/or intererst of greyhound racing. Stewards took into consideration Mr. Helleren's conduct, disciplinary history, their own observations, general and specific deterrence. Mr. Helleren was subsequently fined $250, wholly suspended for 12 months pending no further breaches of a similar rule.
