Steward's Report
Why Not King and Ravishing Ruth were slow to begin. Shrek's Mystery crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sultic Angel, Ravishing Ruth and Red Norm and severely checking Cheap Rush, Karingal Tote and Shrek's Mystery; Karingal Tote fell as a result. Shrek's Mystery checked off Red Norm approaching the home turn. Red Norm veered out and marred the running of Star Searcher in the home straight.
Karingal Tote was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to it's right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
Red Norm was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Red Norm with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Cranbourne and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
