Steward's Report
Jemima Allen was slow to begin. Rebel Lane and Tait Bale collided soon after the start. Miss Woorndoo, Makeeda and Black Amazon collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Jemima Allen checked off Rebel Lane on the first turn. Tait Bale checked off Makeeda on the first turn. Jemima Allen and Rebel Lane collided entering the back straight. Jemima Allen, Rebel Lane and Black Amazon collided on the third turn checking Rebel Lane and severely checking Jemima Allen, Black Amazon and Dewana Summer. Jemima Allen checked off Dewana Summer on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Jones, the representative of the greyhound Little Odessa regarding the greyhound's improved performance in this event. Mrs Jones advised stewards that the greyhound had recently recovered from an infection. She also stated that the greyhound prefers to be drawn in a wide box and had received an interference free run tonight. Stewards accepted Mrs Jones submission and a sample was taken from the greyhound.
Jemima Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Black Amazon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right triangle muscle and minor grazes to it's right hind and right fore legs. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
