A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Just Admit It. A post race sample was taken from Just Admit It, unplaced in the event.
Coco To Burn was quick to begin. On The Air and Impatient Arty were slow to begin.
Dr. Perry checked off Aston Stella on the first turn. Just Admit It and Impatient Arty collided on the first turn; severely checking Impatient Arty; causing Impatient Arty to fall. On The Air checked off Trever's Desire on the first turn. Dr. Perry and Aston Stella collided approaching the home turn. Aston Stella and Iron Lad collided on the home turn. Dr. Perry checked off Coco To Burn in the home straight.
Trever's Desire underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Impatient Arty underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
