Steward's Report
Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
Raw Finesse was slow to begin.
Bourne Blue went up with the lids and stumbled soon after the start. Evident and Newtown Jet collided approaching the first turn. Blazin' Diamonds galloped on the heels of Newtown Jet on the first turn; causing both greyhounds to fall; severely checking Raw Finesse, which raced wide as a result.
Newtown Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Blazin' Diamonds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Raw Finesse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
