Steward's Report
Crown Rhode and Aston Logan collided soon after the start. Aston Logan checked off Pat's Me Mum approaching the first turn. Diva Dot, Crown Rhode and Grand Giveaway collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Diva Dot and Grand Giveaway collided approaching the home turn. Grand Giveaway checked off Diva Dot on the home turn. Galaxy Queen and Crown Rhode collided on the home turn. Crown Rhode turned its head outwards in the home straight and collided with Galaxy Queen. Aston Logan and Grand Giveaway collided in the home straight.
Crown Rhode underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg biceps injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Jason Formosa regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1),Crown Rhode was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Crown Rhode was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
