Steward's Report
Gutter Stomper and Loves The Surf collided approaching the first turn. Gutter Stomper and Loves The Surf collided on the first turn checking Loves The Surf. Gutter Stomper visibly eased and turned its head inwards and then outwards in the home straight. Bad Bailey and Loves The Surf collided approaching the winning post
Gutter Stomper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left and right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms D. Coleman regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Gutter Stomper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Gutter Stomper was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hear The Drum - Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr P. Tanti regarding the greyhound's racing manner in the home straight. After considering Mr Tanti's explanation, viewing the official replays (head on and lateral) and acting on their own observations, Stewards took no action against the greyhound.
