Steward's Report
Belena Bolt was quick to begin. Poppy Mick and Stressful were slow to begin. Pejay's Tulip and Laurel May collided soon after the start. Uncle Pud and Mischief Maker collided soon after the start. Stressful checked off Pejay's Tulip on the first turn. Laurel May contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Stressful raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Laurel May was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right coupling and left thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr Peter Frost, trainer of Laurel May, redeclared a new weight of 25.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Laurel May last raced at 24.1kg.
