Phantom Call and Sukhoi Su were slow to begin.
Rhymes Valley, Ride On and My Mascara collided approaching the first turn checking Rhymes Valley, Ride On and Sukhoi Su. Ride On checked off Quicker Than Joe on the first turn. Rhymes Valley and Sukhoi Su collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Hot Tzarina and My Mascara collided on the home turn checking Hot Tzarina which lost ground as a result.
Hot Tzarina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
