Steward's Report
All Inn Toffee - Late scratching at 11:19 Steward Non Penalty.
Loch and Darra Dawnne were quick to begin. Prince Archer was slow to begin.
Hook Along Pippa and Star Of Jasmine collided entering the back straight and in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Hook Along Pippa checked off Star Of Jasmine approaching the second turn. Sparkle Debacle turned it's head outwards and visibly eased on the home turn. Loch and Hook Along Pippa collided in the home straight.
Sparkle Debacle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. A. Formosa regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sparkle Debacle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Sparkle Debacle was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Prince Archer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
A post-race sample was taken from Darra Dawnne - winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr Pieter Smoor regarding the racing manners of Prince Archer in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Smoor, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, no further action was taken.
