Pyrenees Prada was quick to begin.  Crymelon Quick was slow to begin.

Joffa's Neptune and Speedy Villain collided soon after the start.  Joffa's Neptune checked off Speedy Villain approaching the first turn.  Joffa's Neptune and Crymelon Quick collided approaching the home turn.  Ivory Boy raced wide entering the home straight.  Joffa's Neptune and Speedy Villain collided several times approaching the winning post.

After viewing the head on footage, Stewards took no action against the racing manners of Speedy Villian in the home straight.

Betatron and Kraken Tex collided soon after the start, checking Betatron.  Invictus Caleb, Kraken Tex and Hojilla Bale collided approaching the first turn; checking Kraken Tex and causing Betatron to fall.  Invictus Caleb and Hojilla Bale collided on the first turn, checking Invictus Caleb.  Bohemian Blue raced wide on the home turn.

Betatron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Due to the On-Track Veterinarian having to leave course after the running of Race 6, and having no alternate Veterinary Surgeon available to attend, the Stewards abandoned the race-meeting at 4.59pm. The weights recorded for the greyhounds in Races 7-12 are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds next start. The prizemoney for Races 7-12 will be split evenly between the greyhounds eligible at the time of abandonment.
