Coconut Kingston – Late scratching at 6.53am when Mr. Paul Gabriel reported the greyhound to have a pad injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Plagiarise was quick to begin.  Aston Pablo and Barooga Boy were slow to begin.

Little Cutie Pie and Tidy Up Girl collided soon after the start, approaching the first turn and on the first turn causing Aston Pablo to race wide.  Tidy Up Girl shifted out in the back straight checking Little Cutie Pie, causing Tidy Up Girl to race wide.

A pre-race sample was taken from Trojan Package.

Trojan Package, Stratospheric and Wild Aces Agogo were quick to begin.  Gypsy Seymour was slow to begin.

I'm A Psycho and Stratospheric collided on the first turn.  Gypsy Seymour and Wild Aces Agogo collided on the first turn and again on the second turn.  Stratospheric and Wild Aces Agogo collided on the home turn.  

Radical Rex and Mepunga Web were slow to begin.

Wild Keyra and Nana Judy collided soon after the start and again on the first turn.  Okay Karen crossed out checking Radical Rex on the first turn. Nana Judy galloped on Wild Keyra in the back straight.  Radical Rex checked off My Name's Lindy on the home turn.

Okay Karen underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. Calven Russell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn and overall performance during the running of this event.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Russell, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fleetwood Sam.

My Envy was slow to begin.

My Envy and Mad Brax collided approaching the second turn.  My Envy checked off Hugs And Kisses on the second turn.  Flying Hercules and Mad Brax collided entering the back straight.  Flying Hercules checked off Mad Brax in the back straight.  My Envy raced wide in the home straight. 

East Street was quick to begin.  Who Is Arandt was slow to begin.

Who Cry Now and Who Is Arandt collided on the first turn checking Who Cry Now.  East Street and Jayla Strike collided on the home turn.

Plan Ahead and Margaret's Heart were quick to begin.

Margaret's Heart and Mobile Legend collided soon after the start.  Spanish Miss and Migration collided soon after the start.  Spanish Miss contacted the running rail on the first turn.

Spanish Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A post-race sample was taken from Hamillson - winner of the event. 

Fly Havoc – Late scratching at 11.33am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right carpal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Ms. Nicole McRae regarding the circumstances surrounding the scratching of the greyhound Classy Stringer in this event. Stewards were satisfied with Ms. McRae's explanation and took no further action.

She's So Kind was quick to begin.

Mighty Marvin and Chill Out Webby collided soon after the start.  Mighty Marvin and Neymar Junior collided on the first turn checking Neymar Junior.  

A post-race sample was taken from She's So Kind - winner of the event. 

I'm Easy Boys, Brady's Shout, Wizardry Magic, Fernando Cazz, Dreamers Lie, Affair Bit and Mohinga Chase collided on the first turn checking Wizardry Magic and Dreamers Lie.  Mohinga Chase crossed to the rail on the second turn and collided with Fernando Cazz, causing Fernando Cazz to collide with Affair Bit, checking Fernando Cazz and Dreamers Lie.  Fernando Cazz checked off Affair Bit on the third turn.  Wizardry Magic checked off Affair Bit on the third turn and collided with Fernando Cazz, severely checking Wizardry Magic.  Fernando Cazz and Dreamers Lie collided entering the back straight severely checking Fernando Cazz and causing Dreamers Lie to fall.  I'm Easy Boys and Brady's Shout collided on the home turn.  Wizardry Magic and Fernando Cazz collided approaching the winning post.  

Dreamers Lie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury, abrasion to the right front leg and a laceration to the right hind toe.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Wizardry Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Fernando Cazz underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  

Affair Bit underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Rocky Horror was slow to begin.

Nova Star and Barnsy collided several times from soon after the start to the first turn.  Rocky Horror, Nova Star, Barnsy and Weblec Mist collided on the first turn checking Weblec Mist severely checking Nova Star which raced wide and causing Barnsy to fall.

Stewards spoke to Mr Steven McDonnell (via telephone), the trainer of Barnsy after they left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event. Stewards issued Mr. McDonnell with a fine of $50.00 pursuant to GAR 42 (2). Stewards will require a vet certifcate before any future nomination for Barnsy is accepted.

Supplementary Report - Barnsy was presented at Geelong 3 December 2021 for a veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Premier Slice checked off Stellar Rising on the first turn.

The Stewards were advised that the track was deeply harrowed on 28 November 2021.
