Steward's Report
So Hazy was quick to begin. Western Blazer was very slow to begin (2 lengths).
Zipping Loxley, Curator, Belle Ali, Fireweed and Gold Symbol collided soon after the start. Gold Symbol and Western Blazer collided on the first turn. Curator, Belle Ali and Fireweed collided on the first turn. Belle Ali and Gold Symbol collided on the second turn. Zipping Loxley and Curator collided approaching the third turn. Curator shifted out, turned its head outward and marred Fireweed on the home turn.
Curator underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Robert Le Sueur regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Curator was charged with marring. Mr. Le Sueur pleaded guilty to the charge and Curator was suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
