Menari Hugh, Speedy Muffin and Granny Said Go were slow to begin.
Menari Hugh checked off Granny Said Go soon after the start. Menari Hugh raced wide in the back straight. Whiz Out and Speedy Muffin collided on the first turn. Menari Hugh raced wide in the home straight.
Menari Hugh underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race four. Menari Hugh was found to have a left hindleg thigh muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Granny Said Go underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg wrist injuries. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Granny Said Go – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
