Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Myola Pocket was quick to begin.

Yallock Lass and Smiley Clancy collided soon after the start.  Goldie's Ridge and Emmett's Regret collided soon after the start.  True Country and Yallock Lass collided on the first turn; severely checking both greyhounds.  True Country and Tonto's Revenge collided on the home turn; checking both greyhounds.  Myola Pocket and Madam Starface collided entering the home straight.  Emmett's Regret checked off Myola Pocket in the home straight.

Myola Pocket underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg quadriceps and spike wound injuries.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms Annette Kampman regarding the racing manners of Myola Pocket entering the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Ms Kampman, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
