Mystery Road and Rakesh collided on the first turn, checking Rakesh. Mystery Road raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Rakesh. Yussuf Bale galloped on the heels of Mystery Road on the home turn; checking Rakesh and Yussuf Bale; severely checking Mystery Road. Rakesh and Crown Knox collided several times in the home straight. Lips Boloney and Abby's Star collided in the home straight, checking Rakesh. Abby's Star and Lips Boloney collided approaching the winning post.
Mystery Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the right hindleg foot and left hindleg calf. No stand down period was imposed.
