Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Wednesday, 18 August 2021.

The start of the meeting was delayed due to remedial work undertaken with the 410m boxes.  Track maintenance staff rectified the issue.  All races were amended to the following times: Race 1 - 3:54 pm, Race 2 - 4:14pm, Race 3 - 4:42 pm, Race 4 - 4:57 pm, Race 5 - 5:17 pm, Race 6 - 5:35 pm, Race 7 - 5:55 pm, Race 8 - 6:13 pm, Race 9 - 6:35 pm, Race 10 - 6:55 pm, Race 11 - 7:15 pm and Race 12 - 7:30 pm.  

Bullying and Flame Child were quick to begin.

Aunty Mary and Mad Captain collided soon after the start.  Jab, Mad Captain and Aunty Mary collided on the first turn, checking Aunty Mary.  Jab checked off Mad Captain approaching the home turn.

Aunty Mary underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Burning Tracks was quick to begin.

Cheery Ola Baby was slow to begin.

Ertugrul Bey crossed to the rail approaching the first turn; checking Staying, Aston Prince, Aston Rio, Boom Buster and Cheery Ola Baby.  Aston Rio clipped the heels of Aston Prince on the first turn and stumbled as a result.  Ertugrul Bey and Blazing Pop collided entering the home straight.  Boom Buster checked off Aston Prince in the home straight.

Ertugrul Bey underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr John Caulfield regarding the racing manners of Ertugrul Bey in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr Caulfield, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Big Boy Brooke and Heidi's Gift collided soon after the start, checking Heidi's Gift.  Johnny Disco checked off Mouthy Boof approaching the first turn.  Over Value checked off Mouthy Boof on the first turn.

Crown Knox was slow to begin.

Mystery Road and Rakesh collided on the first turn, checking Rakesh.  Mystery Road raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Rakesh.  Yussuf Bale galloped on the heels of Mystery Road on the home turn; checking Rakesh and Yussuf Bale; severely checking Mystery Road.  Rakesh and Crown Knox collided several times in the home straight.  Lips Boloney and Abby's Star collided in the home straight, checking Rakesh.  Abby's Star and Lips Boloney collided approaching the winning post.

Black Kruger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

She Can Excite and Fearless Pigeon were slow to begin.

Zipping Tiffany checked off Mepunga Gertie on the first turn.  Mepunga Gertie cramped in the home straight.

Mepunga Gertie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped and be displaying thumps.  A three day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Mepunga Gertie must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

McCooly's Lad was quick to begin.  Cool Lady and Aston Ulysses were slow to begin.
