Cheery Ola Baby was slow to begin.
Ertugrul Bey crossed to the rail approaching the first turn; checking Staying, Aston Prince, Aston Rio, Boom Buster and Cheery Ola Baby. Aston Rio clipped the heels of Aston Prince on the first turn and stumbled as a result. Ertugrul Bey and Blazing Pop collided entering the home straight. Boom Buster checked off Aston Prince in the home straight.
Ertugrul Bey underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr John Caulfield regarding the racing manners of Ertugrul Bey in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Caulfield, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
