Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements, and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
There was no head-on vision available for this event.
The commencement of the meeting was delayed due to heavy and persistent rain. All races were pushed back by one race and races re-scheduled accordingly, with Race 12 amended to 10:54 pm. Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
My Girl Betty and Stylish Tyrone were slow to begin. Mt. View Burner was very slow to begin (3L).
Makayla's Diva and Classy Edition collided on the first turn; checking Mt. View Road, which faltered and tailed off. Classy Edition checked off Mt. View Burner approaching the winning post.
Mt. View Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury which was a suspected tear to the ligament attached to the stopper bone or fracture on the tendon insertion. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Rowchester Sugar underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Rowchester Sugar - the winner of the event.
