Zipping Utah was slow to begin. Major Bandit was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Going Alright and Romy Riccarton collided soon after the start. Zipping Rafferty checked off Romy Riccarton approaching the first turn and collided with Blazin' Sushi. Zipping Utah galloped on Blazin' Sushi on the first turn severely checking Zipping Rafferty, Zipping Utah and Major Bandit; causing Blazin' Sushi to fall. Zipping Utah and Major Bandit collided on the second turn. Zipping Rafferty checked off Romy Riccarton on the third turn. Zipping Rafferty and Major Bandit collided approaching the winning post.

Blazin' Sushi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
