Rush Riccarton was quick to begin.

Comb Over Mullet and Zipping Randy collided soon after the start.  Confirm shifted in soon after the start checking Zipping Randy and colliding with Rush Riccarton.  Confirm crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Rush Riccarton and Comb Over Mullet.  Zipping Randy and Zipping Jazz collided on the first turn. Comb Over Mullet checked off Underworld on the second turn and collided with Rush Riccarton, checking Rush Riccarton, Zipping Randy and Zipping Jazz.  Rush Riccarton and Zipping Randy collided on the third turn checking Zipping Jazz and severely checking Rush Riccarton. Underworld marred Confirm in the home straight.

Underworld underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Daniel Pell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Underworld was charged with marring. Mr Pell pleaded guilty to the charge, Underworld was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Utah was slow to begin.  Major Bandit was very slow to begin (3 lengths). 

Going Alright and Romy Riccarton collided soon after the start.  Zipping Rafferty checked off Romy Riccarton approaching the first turn and collided with Blazin' Sushi.  Zipping Utah galloped on Blazin' Sushi on the first turn severely checking Zipping Rafferty, Zipping Utah and Major Bandit; causing Blazin' Sushi to fall. Zipping Utah and Major Bandit collided on the second turn. Zipping Rafferty checked off Romy Riccarton on the third turn. Zipping Rafferty and Major Bandit collided approaching the winning post.  

Blazin' Sushi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Call Me Chloe was quick to begin.

Flying Hurricane crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Zipping Loxley and severely checking No Way Nellie, Skibo Boy and Cayden Bale; all three greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Flying Hurricane checked off Call Me Chloe approaching the second turn. Zipping Loxley and Gypsy Tenille collided on the third turn. Cayden Bale raced wide entering the home straight.

His Stop It, Mepunga Holly and Riccarton Matt were quick to begin.

Enough To Know and His Stop It collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Mepunga Holly, Riccarton Matt and Golden Ratio collided on the first turn checking Riccarton Matt and Golden Ratio; severely checking Sky And Thunder.  Riccarton Matt and Golden Ratio collided on the third turn.  Enough To Know shifted out and marred Mepunga Holly approaching the fourth turn, severely checking Mepunga Holly and Sky And Thunder.  Sky And Thunder and Golden Ratio collided on the fifth turn checking Golden Ratio.

Enough To Know underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right deltoid muscle and an abrasion to the right foreleg webbing.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Miss Tyllah Cornell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the fourth turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Enough To Know was charged with marring. Miss Cornell pleaded guilty to the charge, Enough To Know was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pheme was quick to begin.  Galloping Speed was slow to begin.

Black Belt Magic and Nikephoros collided soon after the start.  Family Trust and Rockin' Rosie collided approaching the first turn.  Galloping Speed checked off Black Belt Magic entering the front straight and collided with Nikephoros.  Rockin' Rosie checked off Pheme approaching the third turn.  Family Trust and Grace's Spirit collided on the third turn.  Family Trust and Nikephoros collided on the home turn. Rockin' Rosie and Galloping Speed collided entering the home straight.  

Whakahoro was slow to begin.

Resurgence and Spirit Energy collided soon after the start checking Resurgence. Cool And Deadly and Weblec Star collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Midoriyama and Resurgence collided approaching the first turn.  Resurgence checked off Aston Vogue on the second turn checking Spirit Energy and Whakahoro; Whakahoro and Weblec Star raced wide as a result.  Midoriyama galloped on Galloping Run on the third turn checking Galloping Run, Midoriyama and Resurgence.  Whakahoro galloped on Midoriyama entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Galloping Run and Weblec Star collided on the fourth turn.
