A pre-race sample was taken from Golden Ratio.
His Stop It, Mepunga Holly and Riccarton Matt were quick to begin.
Enough To Know and His Stop It collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mepunga Holly, Riccarton Matt and Golden Ratio collided on the first turn checking Riccarton Matt and Golden Ratio; severely checking Sky And Thunder. Riccarton Matt and Golden Ratio collided on the third turn. Enough To Know shifted out and marred Mepunga Holly approaching the fourth turn, severely checking Mepunga Holly and Sky And Thunder. Sky And Thunder and Golden Ratio collided on the fifth turn checking Golden Ratio.
Enough To Know underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right deltoid muscle and an abrasion to the right foreleg webbing. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Miss Tyllah Cornell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the fourth turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Enough To Know was charged with marring. Miss Cornell pleaded guilty to the charge, Enough To Know was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
