Butter Puddin' - New declared weight of 31.9kg, last raced at 33.4kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Butter Puddin'.
Alvira was quick to begin.
Tinker Bono and Butter Puddin' collided soon after the start. Tinker Bono, Beanie Eyes and Butter Puddin' collided approaching the first turn checking Beanie Eyes. Alvira and Go Wheels collided approaching the home turn. Just The Marjen visibly eased approaching the home turn. Tinker Bono raced wide entering the home straight checking Go Wheels.
Just The Marjen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left fore paw and the right hind leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Mathew Tabb regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1) Just The Marjen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Tabb pleaded not guilty to the charge, Just The Marjen was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
