Steward's Report
Dinner Roll - Late scratching at 12:58 PM when Mr K. Lloyd reported the greyhound to have kennel cough (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sweet Harriet and Winlock Squints were slow to begin.
Blazing Lizzie, Diamond White and Burning Express collided approaching the first turn checking Diamond White, Blackpool Holly and Winlock Squints, and severely checking Burning Express which lost ground.
Burning Express underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right flexor tendon and a spike wound to the left hind toe. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
