All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Stewards were advised that the track was deep harrowed on Saturday, 22 May 2021.

Myola Frost, Cinderella Storm and Classy Edition were quick to begin.

Al's Son, Mt. View Burner and Rebel Bowie collided approaching the first turn.  Mt. View Burner galloped on the heels of Al's Son on the first turn.  Rebel Bowie and Xena Redeemer collided on the first turn.  Cinderella Storm and Classy Edition collided approaching the home turn; checking both greyhounds.  Al's Son checked off Cinderella Storm on the home turn.  Rebel Bowie brushed the running rail on the home turn.  Xena Redeemer raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight and trailled the field  Cinderella Storm and Up There Red collided approaching the winning post.

Xena Redeemer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Formosa, the trainer of Xena Redeemer regarding its performance on the home turn and in the home straight.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Xena Redeemer must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

In accordance with LR 22 Mr Jason Formosa was issued with a warning regarding the non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

In accordance with LR 22 Ms Cassendra Jayakody was issued with a warning regarding the non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Pablo's Star, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Lightning Katie, Al's Big Sister and Mt. View Moon collided on the first turn; checking Lightning Katie and Mt. View Moon.  Pablo's Star galloped on the heels of Coco To Burn on the first turn, checking Pablo's Star.

Lightning Katie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mt. View Moon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Arby's Phoebe – New declared weight of 25.9 kg, last raced at 27.6 kg.

Saint Bogan was slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Ms Casandra Jayakody, the trainer of Shore Lanka, after the greyhound momentarily escaped whilst in the parade yard.  Ms Jayakody was advised to ensure she displayed proper control when handling greyhounds in future.

Hurry Harry – Late scratching at 10:37 am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an inflamed right ear.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jack's Fantasy, Jaggered and Premier Slice were slow to begin.

Charlie Checker, Dim Sim and Tigers Nineteen collided approaching the first turn.  Tigers Nineteen and Jaggered collided on the first turn; checking Tigers Nineteen, severely checking Premier Slice and causing Jaggered to fall.  Charlie Checker and Dim Sim collided on the home turn. 

Jaggered underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left and right dew claws.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Villanova and Millie's Wonder collided soon after the start.  Villanova and Black Beaver collided approaching the first turn, checking Villanova.  Mt. View Ginger and Black Beaver collided on the first turn, checking Black Beaver.  Gypsy Warrior and Just Gab collided on the first turn; checking Gypsy Warrior and Millie's Wonder.  Al's Draw Four and Gypsy Warrior raced wide in the home straight.
