Steward's Report
Nova To Burn, Stan's Hope and Diamond Siena collided soon after the start, checking Diamond Siena. Lektra Boogie and Fab Motto collided on the first turn; checking Lektra Boogie and Diamond Siena. Stan's Hope and Fire Witch collided on the first turn. Lightning Gadget turned its head out and marred Fab Motto in the home straight.
Lightning Gadget underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Hansen, the trainer of Lightning Gadget regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lightning Gadget was charged with marring. Mr Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge, Lightning Gadget was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
