Trash and Saint Tess were slow to begin.
Benefit Summary, Pull Shot and Lenny's Jagger collided soon after the start. Benefit Summary, Pull Shot, Lenny's Jagger and Saint Tess collided on the first turn; checking Lenny's Jagger and Saint Tess. Benefit Summary, Pull Shot, Lenny's Jagger and Saint Tess collided approaching the home turn. Royal Burst, Winlock Dyno and Trash collided approaching the home turn, checking Trash. Trash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg quadriceps injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr T Whitford regarding the racing manners of Trash in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Whitford, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
