Lee Ali and Georgia Kate collided soon after the start. Lee Ali, Aston Champagne and Jay Bird collided approaching the first turn. Aston Champagne and Jay Bird collided on the first turn, checking Jay Bird. Georgia Kate commenced to give ground on the second turn and tailed off.
Georgia Kate underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
