Mepunga Harry was slow to begin.
Cyclone Zara and Romeo Bale collided soon after the start. Romeo Bale checked off the heels of Mepunga Harry approaching the home turn. Parlo Bale and Bitter Dash collided approaching the first turn. Parlo Bale and Bitter. Dash collided approaching the first turn. Mighty Marshall, Romeo Bale, Flying Zara and Bitter Dash collided on the first turn checking Flying Zara which lost ground. Flying Zara checked off the heels of Bitter Dash on the home turn. Parlo Bale raced wide on the home turn.
