The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Coconino - New declared weight 35.1kgs, last raced at 33.9kgs.

Coconino was quick to begin. Riverhawk, Finding Gobi and Rhapsody Queen were slow to begin.

Coconino and Statler collided soon after the start. Rhapsody Queen, Statler and Dami Jack collided on the first turn checking Dami Jack. Dami Jack raced wide on the home turn. Coconino, Finding Gobi and Rhapsody Queen collided on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Well Built - the winner of the event.

Psycho Billy was slow to begin.

Night To Burn and Rockstar Jelfs collided approaching the first turn. Rockstar Britt and Psycho Billy collided on the first turn checking Rockstar Britt. Night To Burn, Rockstar Jelfs and Rockstar Britt raced wide on the home turn.

Midnight Pompeii underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right deltoid. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Midnight Pompeii, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Zipping Annabel was slow to begin.

Mississippi Mud checked off Sticker Sparkles approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Upright.

Roger Rocks and Dybala collided soon after the start checking Roger Rocks which lost ground. Dybala checked off the heels of Upright on the first turn and collided with Midnight Hussler.

Roger Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and an abrasion on the left hind paw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

One Zorro was slow to begin.

Holiday In Paris and Wolf Shadow collided soon after the start. One Zorro brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Holiday In Paris and Defiance collided on the home turn. Lil Roughy and Wolf Shadow raced wide on the home turn.

One Zorro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the muzzle and a spike wound on the left foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Sandro Cassar, the Trainer of One Zorro regarding its performance on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, One Zorro must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Riverdale Bear and Lap It Up collided soon after the start. Riverdale Bear checked off the heels of Magic Panther approaching the first turn. Magic Panther and La La Lucky collided on the home turn. Blackpool Marvel and Lap It Up collided approaching the winning post.

Squawking Budgie and Black Tess collided soon after the start. Bad Bailey, Black Tess and Blackpool Pantha collided on the first turn checking Bad Bailey and Black Tess. Emerley Express raced wide on the home turn.

Flying Zara checked off the heels of Bitter Dash on the home turn. Parlo Bale raced wide on the home turn.

Aston Astro - Turned in Boxes - Field of 5, Distance 400m, Weight 28.1 kg, Box 5, Placed 5th, Time Run 25.68 - Comment: Cleared All Tracks.  Aston Astro was vetted following the event and found to have lacerations to the left lumbar muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  In determining the outcome of the Trial, Stewards were satisfied that Aston Astro satisfactorily met the requirements of the trial pursuant to GAR52(1), and also took into consideration the interference the greyhound received on the first turn which caused the greyhound to contact the running rail.
