Steward's Report
Sugar Boloney – Late scratching at 10:37 am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a lacertion to the left foreleg paw. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Our Boy Benny was slow to begin.
Maximum Ivy and Joffa's Impala collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Ivy. Calthorpe and Our Boy Benny collided approaching the home turn, checking Calthorpe.
Calthorpe underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr K Gavin regarding the racing manners of Calthorpe entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Gavin, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
