In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.2 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Black Booker was quick to begin.  Tinker To Burn and Saint Bogan were slow to begin.

Calthorpe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have neck soreness and abrasions to the left and right hindleg toes.  A three day stand down period was imposed.

Grand Warrior and Little Herbie were slow to begin.

Myola Sunrise, Myola Dawn and Atlantic Lady collided soon after the start.  Myola Dawn, Atlantic Lady and Little Herbie collided approaching the first turn; checking Little Herbie and Grand Warrior.  Myola Sunrise checked off Marli Ann on the first turn.  Atlantic Lady and Grand Warrior collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.  Myola Sunrise raced wide in the home straight.

Danny Creek was quick to begin.  Devika Bale and Saint Ellie were slow to begin.

Black Heel High was quick to begin.

Rose Bay faltered on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Black Heel High checked off Alabama Anna entering the home straight.

Rose Bay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track approaching the first turn and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Mason Rocks – New declared weight of 31.3 kg, last raced at 29.9 kg.

Zen Mistress, Twinkle Love and Kurtlee Bale were quick to begin.  Out Smart 'Em was slow to begin.

Out Smart 'Em checked off Benefit Summary soon after the start.  Mason Rocks and Benefit Summary collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Zen Mistress and Out Smart 'Em collided on the home turn.

Maximum Jan– Late scratching at 8:03 am when trainer, Mr K Ward reported the greyhound to have Diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
