Steward's Report
A pre-race was unable to be obtained from Bellbird, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Bull's Roar was slow to begin. Rag Time Joey stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.
Minutiae crossed in soon after the start; checking Big Tango and She's Our Rocket. Bellbird and She's Our Rocket collided on the first turn. Bomber's Train checked off Minutiae on the first turn. Bull's Road visably eased approaching the home turn, checking Captain Goldie. Rag Time Joey checked off Captain Goldie on the home turn. Bellbird and Bull's Roar collided approaching the winning post.
Rag Time Joey underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen. Was found to have a right foreleg scapula injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Bull's Roar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg hock and thigh injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr K Richards regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Bull's Road was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Richards pleaded guilty to the charge, Bull's Roar was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
