Steward's Report
Hurricane Miami was a late scratching at 2:08 pm by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged trainer, Mrs V Sultana with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mrs V Sultana, representative of Hurricane Miami, pleaded guilty to the charge on behalf of Mrs V Sultana, who was fined $250. The 28 days stand-down on Hurricane Miami was revoked.
Southern Bell was slow to begin.
Damaged and Rajah collided soon after the start; checking Our Boy Benny and Rajah. Damaged checked off Amlin Frozen on the first turn. Our Boy Benny and Amlin Frozen collided on the home turn.
It was noted that the muzzle of Coffee Run became dislodged during the running of the event.
