The amended start time for this event was 9.40pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mess.
Mess and Agent Ben were quick to begin. Whistlin Missile and Boes Rose were slow to begin.
Calabrese Gino checked off Gunmandu on the first turn checking Calabrese Gino, Boes Rose and Whistlin Missile. Whistlin Missile raced wide on the home turn. Whistlin Missile and Boes Rose raced wide entering the home straight. Calabrese Gino and Gunmandu collided in the home straight.
Whistlin Missile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
