Steward's Report
All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to the kennel attendants and reminded them to be more diligent during the kenneling process after it was established a greyhound had not been securely locked away during kenneling. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
Lady Driftwood was slow to begin.
Rowchester Patty checked off Crymelon Ivy soon after the start. Mav's Magic, Lektra Terrace and Albuquerque collided approaching the first turn, checking Mav's Magic. Lektra Terrace, Albuquerque and Lady Driftwood collided on the first turn, checking Lady Driftwood. Mav's Magic and Crymelon Ivy collided on the first turn, checking Mav's Magic. Lektra Terrace and Albuquerque collided approaching the home turn. Crymelon Ivy raced wide in the home straight.
