Jye's Jet was slow to begin.
Ernie Prang checked off Pirate Tails approaching the first turn. Ernie Prang and Jye's Jet collided approaching the first turn, checking Ernie Prang. Perpetuate checked off Accomplishment approaching the first turn. Off It's Chops and Pirate Tails collided on the first turn, checking Pirate Tails. Change Of Gear and Off It's Chops collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Off It's Chops eased approaching the winning post.
Off It's Chops underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg pencil/whip injury. A three day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Martina Kirillidis, the representative of Off It's Chops regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Off It's Chops was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Kirillidis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Off It's Chops was found guilty and suspended for three months all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
