Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms S Elmes regarding the scratching of the three greyhounds, Chasing Summer, Chasing Teddy and Chasing The Edge in this event. Stewards noted that Chasing Love also from the same kennel was left engaged to race. Ms S Elmes stated that due to the meeting being deemed heat affected, the kennel did not have sufficient means of transport to accommodate all runners engaged today under the GRV transportation policy and as a result scratched these runners as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Wednesday, 6 January 2021.
