Low Blow was quick to begin. Major Gilbert and Ant Man were slow to begin. Jesse Riccarton, Major Gilbert and Ant Man collided soon after the start checking Major Gilbert and Ant Man. Girls Got Rhythm galloped on Aston Marlon on the first turn checking Girls Got Rhythm, Aston Marlon and Jezza Bence. Girls Got Rhythm was checked off Jezza Bence approaching the home turn. Aston Marlon was checked off Ant Man approaching the home turn.
