Steward's Report
The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Swift By Design and Carry On Liam were slow to begin.
Weblec Bloom and Hebridean Black collided soon after the start. Colden Dayto and Swift By Design collided soon after the start. Swift By Design checked off Colden Dayto soon after the start. Weblec Bloom and Hebridean Black collided in the front straight. Weblec Bloom, Hebridean Black and Colden Dayto collided approaching the first turn checking Weblec Bloom and Colden Dayto. Hebridean Black and Carry On Liam collided on the first turn. Swift By Design checked off Colden Dayto approaching the second turn. Weblec Bloom checked off Colden Dayto on the second turn checking Swift By Design. Swift By Design and Carry On Liam collided entering the back straight. Colden Dayto checked off Dark Compass approaching the third turn causing Dark Compass to gallop on Carry On Liam severely checking Dark compass which lost considerable ground as a result. Colden Dayto checked off Carry On Liam approaching the home turn. Hebridean Black and Handsome Jack collided entering the home straight.
Dark Compass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Astro Boy - winner of the event.
