Steward's Report
Daph's Ascend and Eagles Nest Egg were slow to begin.
Winlock Thor crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Tippa and Daph's Ascend. Nevilla Bale and Tippa collided in the front straight. Winlock Thor, Carry On Angel, Shanlyn Charlott, Daph's Ascend and Major Giblet collided approaching the first turn severely checking Shanlyn Charlott and Daph's Ascend causing Shanlyn Charlott to lose considerable ground. Winlock Thor checked off Carry On Angel entering the back straight. Tippa checked off Nevilla Bale approaching the third turn. Daph's Ascend checked off Major Giblet entering the home straight.
Shanlyn Charlott underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Eagles Nest Egg - winner of the event.
