Steward's Report
Locked In was quick to begin.
Steamy Jack and Church Mouse collided soon after the start. Fabriola Expert, Rall's Girl and Aston Samurai collided soon after the start. Lady Fabio, Fabriola Expert and Rall's Girl collided in the front straight. Halwes and Lady Fabio collided in the front straight checking Lady Fabio. Halwes and Aston Samurai collided approaching the first turn. Lady Fabio checked off Rall's Girl approaching the second turn. Steamy Jack marred Locked In approaching the winning post.
Steamy Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Billy Stockdale, the Trainer of Steamy Jack regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Steamy Jack was charged with marring. Mr Stockdale pleaded guilty to the charge, Steamy Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Samurai - winner of the event.
