Steward's Report
The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Sudoku Shelby, La La Oregon and Aston Adonis collided soon after the start. Sudoku Shelby, La La Oregon, Aston Adonis and Jarick Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Sudoku Shelby, La La Oregon and Aston Adonis; Sudoku Shelby contacted the running rail as a result. Xamira Bale and Dipped In Honey collided approaching the first turn checking Xamira Bale. Sudoku Shelby and Aston Adonis collided on the first turn.
Sudoku Shelby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post race sample was taken from Hadouken, the winner of the event.
Mr Dennis Trewin failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Aston Adonis for racing. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 46(2).
