Tekki Yvettia was slow to begin.  Our Fireman, War Talk and Tekki Yvettia collided soon after the start.  Prima Rosetta, Our Fireman and Tekki Yvettia collided approaching the first turn checking Prima Rosetta.  Zorko contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Ghost Roaster checked off Our Fireman on the first turn checking Tekki Yvettia.  Zorko faltered approaching the home turn.  Prima Rosetta and Ghost Roaster collided approaching the home turn checking Ghost Roaster.  Our FIreman and Tekki Yvettia collided on the home turn.  War Talk and Tekki Yvettia collided on entering the home straight checking War Talk.  Zorko, Prima Rosetta and Layton Boss raced wide in the home straight.  Tekki Yvettia marred Sansa approching the winning post.

Zorko was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's right triceps and neck.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Psaila, the trainer of the greyhound Zorko.  Stewards deemed the performance of Zorko unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, stewards directed that Zorko must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tekki Yvettia was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Imlach, the trainer of the greyhound Tekki Yvettia.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tekki Yvettia with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Geelong and directed that the greyhound perfom a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
