Steward's Report
Doveton Bobo, Pejay's Tulip, Haggis Lad and Brumby Boy were slow to begin. Pejay's Tulip checked off Haggis Lad soon after the start. Tequila's Hope and Maximum Jack collided soon after the start. Footluce Dancer, Tequila's Hope and Maximum Jack collided approaching the first turn. Maximum Jack checked off Tequila's Hope on the first turn checking Footluce Dancer. Doveton Bobo and Pejay's Tulip collided on the first turn. Tequila's Hope checked off Haggis Lad approaching the home turn. Pejay's Tulip checked off Doveton Bobo approaching the home turn. Footluce Dancer and Pejay's Tulip collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Doveton Bobo checked off Tequila's Hope on the home turn causing Doveton Bobo to race wide. Tequila's Hope and Maximum Jack collided approaching the winning post.
Footluce Dancer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Pejay's Tulip was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R. Matthyssen, the trainer of the greyhound Pejay's Tulip regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.
A sample was taken from Bumby Boy, the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Maple, the trainer of the greyhound Brumby Boy regarding the greyhound's improved performance. Mr Maple advised the stewards that the greyhound was having it's first start for the kennel and he expected an improved performance . Stewards noted his explaination.
