Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from High End Cash, a post–race sample was subsequently taken.
High End Cash was slow to begin.
Grand Stride (visibly eased approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 11. Grand Stride was found to have a left long head triceps muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Barry regarding Grand Stride’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Grand Stride was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Barry pleaded guilty to the charge. Grand Stride must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
