Steward's Report
Prince Jed and Showtime Boomer were slow to begin. Kalbarri was checked off Showtime Boomer approaching the first turn. Aston Guilder and Magnetic Steff collided on the first turn checking Aston Guilder. Aston Guilder crossed out and collided with Sunnyside Pride on the home turn checking Aston Guilder. Aston Guilder raced wide in the home straight.
A post race sample was taken from Prince Jed - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Clark, the handler of Showtime Boomer regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect starting box before being relocated into the correct starting box. Acting under GAR 86(o), the Stewards charged Mr Clark for placing Showtime Boomer in the incorrect box during the boxing process, which was considered negligence. Mr Clark pleaded guilty to the charge. A fine of $100.00 was imposed.
